Secretary General
Professor of Law and Jean Monnet Chair at ESADE Business and Law School. He holds a Doctorate in Juridical Sciences (S.J.D.) from Harvard Law School and he is a member of the New York Bar. Between 1996 and 2000 he served as Advisor to the Spanish Prime Minister on European and North American affairs. He has been Professor and the Dean of IE Law School at IE Business School. He writes a weekly column on international affairs in the newspaper ABC. David Blázquez
Director of Programs and Development
David is the editor of Americracia, a blog on US politics for Spanish newspaper El Mundo. He was HarvardX Teaching Fellow for Michael Sandel's Course “Justice”. He holds a BA and an MA in Philosophy from Complutense University, an MA/M.Phil. in Political Science from the E´cole des Hautes E´tudes en Sciences Sociales in Paris, and -thanks to the support of a Scholarship from La Caixa- a master's degree (MALD) from The Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy. Prior to Fletcher, David was Visiting Fellow in the Department of Government at Harvard University (2011-2012). Isabel Cruz-Conde Zino
Program Manager
Isabel joined Aspen Institute España in September 2013. She holds a Degree in Journalism from Universidad CEU San Pablo and an Executive Media MBA from Universidad de Navarra. She has worked for two years as a writer and editor for the gastronomical magazine Club de Gourmets, coordinating the Press Department of Grupo Gourmets (first publishing company in Spain specialized in gastronomy) and Salon de Gourmets (the major European international fine food and beverage fair), where she was also responsible for the website and the Social Networks of the group. Isabel has previously worked at Christie’s and LVMH Watches and Jewelry. She speaks Spanish, English and Portuguese.

Santiago Liniers Martínez
Program Manager
Santiago joined Aspen Institute España in May 2014. Santiago holds a Masters in International Relations at the University Institute for European Studies from the CEU San Pablo University and a Degree in Journalism form the CEU San Pablo University. Previously, he studied Political Science and the Palestinian and Arabic Studies Program at Bir Zeit University, in Palestine. He has worked at the press department of the Elcano Royal Institute, at the graphic department of the Agencia EFE and has done voluntary work at the Palestinian Agricultural Union in Hebron, the West Bank. He speaks Spanish, English and has basic knowledge of Arabic.

Gabriela Aznar Blanes
Executive Assistant
Gabriela joined Aspen Institute España in October 2015. She has studied Tourism at the University of Seville and holds a Master Degree in Congress, Conventions and PCO Companies Organization form the UEM (European University of Madrid). She has worked at the NH Eurobulding of Madrid organizing events, and during the last three years she has lived in Chile where he has been organizing and coordinating medical congresses in Eventual Chile. She speaks Spanish, English, and has basic knowledge of French.

Montse Julián Cabeza
Program Assistant
Montse is the latest addition to Aspen Institute España. She holds a degree in Journalism from the University of Navarra, a Master Degree in Corporate and Politic Communications from the same university, and a four-weeks political affairs program at the School of Political Management at the George Washington University . She has worked in reputation and crisis department as a trainee in two communication agencies: Burson-Marsteller and Atrevia, in the comunication and institutional relations department of Inditex as a trainee and at El Mundo País Vasco. She speaks english and spanish.
