He is a lawyer specializing in labour and employment law with extensive litigation and negotiation experience, as well as a mediator of the Spanish Interconfederal Mediation and Arbitration Service (SIMA). He has authored several specialized publications in his field, including the co-direction with Professor María Emilia Casas (former President of the Spanish Constitutional Court) of the book Derecho Social de la Unión Europea. Aplicación por el Tribunal de Justicia, soon to be published in English. He teaches – holding a Ph. D. in Law – at various institutions such as the University of Navarra, IE Law School and IE Business School and the University Carlos III of Madrid. He has served as a Member of the Governing Board of the Madrid Bar Association for five years and is currently a Corresponding Member of the Royal Academy of Jurisprudence and Legislation, as well as a Fellow of the Aspen Institute Spain.
