Aspen – Barcelona City Council Seminar
Aspen Institute España held the second edition of the Aspen – Ajuntament de Barcelona Seminar for the management team of the Barcelona City Council on January 15-16th, 2026 in Sant Fruitós del Bages, Barcelona. This seminar was the first Aspen Institute España seminar held in Catalan.
Antonio Delgado Planás
Antonio Delgado Planás is Secretary General of ESADE and a Professor of Commercial Law, specialising in Corporate Governance and Intellectual Property. He began his professional career as a lawyer in the telecommunications sector, at the time of its liberalisation. He took on various responsibilities within the AUNA group and, subsequently, at ONO, where he headed the legal advisory team for the Territorial Delegation of Catalonia and Aragon. In 2007, he joined the Electronic Banking and New Technologies division of la Caixa as a specialist in the field, and in 2009 he took charge of the Legal Services of the Hospital Clínic de Barcelona, where he became particularly involved in providing legal counsel for innovation development and, in particular, for the transfer of research results. He has served as President of the Círculo Ecuestre de Barcelona and as a member of various boards and social impact initiatives.
Lara Jiménez de Parga
Lara Jiménez de Parga is a specialist in human-centred innovation and legal education. She holds a Law degree from the Universidad de Barcelona and a Master of the Science of Law from Stanford University. In September 2023 she joined the PhD programme at the Universidad de Barcelona to study the impact of generative artificial intelligence on legal education. She has also served as an Associate Professor in the Department of Philosophy of Law at the Universidad de Barcelona. In the corporate sphere, she works as a UX researcher, applying qualitative and design thinking methodologies to give voice to patients and users in the development of new solutions and medical treatments. She works in English, French, Spanish, and Catalan.
