Aspen-Cardona Seminar ‘Leadership and Values in Europe’
Aspen Institute España held the 7th edition of the Aspen Seminar for young people under the title Aspen-Cardona Seminar ‘Leadership and Values in Europe’ from 19 to 21 July 2024. The Seminar brought together 27 young leaders aged 21-35 from various sectors of our society. The Seminar will take place at El Villar de la Duquessa (Cardona), and was moderated by Antonio Delgado, Secretary General of ESADE, and Lara Jiménez de Parga, Legal design researcher and PhD candidate in Philosophy of Law at the University of Barcelona.
Following the model of the leadership programs developed for years by Aspen Institute España, the Aspen – Cardona Seminar on ‘Leadership and Values in Europe’ debates the political, moral and social challenges present through the analysis of classic and contemporary texts of political philosophy and literature. The Seminar, moderated through the Socratic method used in other Aspen Spain programs, does not aim to reach specific conclusions or agreements, but rather to improve the quality of our questions and debate on the challenges of leadership in the 21st century and the great timeless issues surrounding human values.
Aspen Institute España is an independent foundation and partner of the Aspen Institute in the United States. It is a forum for debate that offers a free and plural space to foster dialogue from civil society on leadership, values and public policy. After ten years of activity, Aspen Spain is recognized for the quality of its debates and seminars and for its capacity to generate spaces for dialogue and conversation on critical issues for the future of society.
The Seminar was supported by the State Secretariat for the European Union and the Hablamos de Europa (Let’s Talk About Europe) initiative.
