Aspen Seminar for Zurich ‘Technology and geopolitics: security and disruptive technologies’

 

Aspen Institute España will hold a Custom Seminar for Zurich on ‘Technology and Geopolitics: Security and Disruptive Technologies’ on 28-29 October 2024 in Barcelona. Through Socratic dialogue, the Seminar will be moderated by José M. de Areilza, Secretary General of Aspen Institute España and Professor at ESADE and Luis Villa, independent strategy and design consultant and Aspen España Fellow.

 

MODERATORS

José M. de Areilza

Is the Secretary General of Aspen Institute España, Professor at ESADE Business School and holder of the Jean Monnet Chair-ESADE. He is also a Member of the European Council on Foreign Relations and Vicepresident of the Spain-USA Council Foundation. He has been Visiting Professor at INSEAD Business School, Fontainebleau, London Business School and WIlliam and Mary School of Law, Virginia. He has worked as Advisor to the Spanish Prime Minister on European and North American affairs. He writes a weekly column on international affairs at the ABC newspaper and is a Trustee of the Spanish Navy Museum. José M. de Areilza received an LL.B. degree with Special Graduation Prize from Universidad Complutense de Madrid and holds a Masters degree (LL.M.) and Doctorate degree (S.J.D.) from Harvard University and an M.A. from The Fletcher Schoo

 

Luis Villa

He holds a law degree. He is an independent consultant in Digital Strategy and advises executives and policy makers on Technology, Change and Innovation at the crossroads between Responsible Business, Artificial Intelligence and Sustainability. Since the 1990s, he has worked in the fields of design, business, technology and innovation in different industries and countries, always with a creative and humanistic approach. Luis worked in companies that have driven change in business and society, such as Capgemini, The Cocktail or Fjord, acquired by Accenture, where he collaborated with the global team responsible for the transformation of Accenture in the development of new services and markets. During 2015 and 2016, he collaborated with the World Economic Forum analysing the impact of Digital Transformation in different industries and societies. Luis is a professor at Instituto de Empresa. He also participates in the Technological Transformations Group at the Real Instituto Elcano. Luis is an Aspen España Fellow, and has contributed to the Tech & Society initiative, where he has moderated several debates and talks.

 

 

Aspen Institute España
