Tertulias del Ecuestre with Aspen “China, US and the EU in the age of great rivalry”
Aspen Institute España and Círculo Ecuestre held last Wednesday, September 15, at 7.30 p.m. a talk on “China, US and the EU in the age of great rivalry” with Fidel Sendagorta, Spanish Diplomat and Director General of Foreign Policy and Security, presented by José M. de Areilza, Secretary General of Aspen Institute España, and Antonio Delgado, President of Círculo Ecuestre.
This debate presented a new geopolitical reality where China aims to be a global leader, the US tries to avoid it and the European Union needs to decide how to act to defend and project its interests and values.
“Las Tertulias del Ecuestre” are gatherings organized by Círculo Ecuestre together with leading institutions on various current affairs, such as Aspen Institute España, the Tocqueville Club or the European Institute of Design. A series of gatherings are organized in which, after a brief initial presentation by the invited speaker, the floor is passed to the Equestrian partners so that they can talk, debate and dialogue with the invited experts and other partners.
