Tertulias del Ecuestre with Aspen “The Social Dilemma: challenges of digital technology”
Aspen Institute España and Círculo Ecuestre held on December 10 at 7:30 p.m. a talk on “The Social Dilemma: challenges of digital technology” presented by José M. de Areilza, Secretary General of Aspen Institute España, Ordinary Professor at the Department of Law and the Department of General Management and Strategy of ESADE Business School and holder of the Jean Monnet Chair at ESADE.
The documentary “The Social Dilemma” has alerted many of the challenges of digital technology. The question is not only how to deal with them through different individual behaviors, but how to develop an intelligent regulation that stops the disappearance of privacy, protects freedoms and persecutes the creators of fake news. The starting point is to defend that one does not lose their fundamental rights when using digital media.
“Las Tertulias del Ecuestre” are gatherings organized by Círculo Ecuestre together with leading institutions on various current affairs, such as Aspen Institute España, the Tocqueville Club or the European Institute of Design. A series of gatherings are organized in which, after a brief initial presentation by the invited speaker, the floor is passed to the Equestrian partners so that they can talk, debate and dialogue with the invited experts and other partners.
