Trust & Society 2020 Program – Conference with José Ignacio Latorre

 

Last Thursday, October 26th at 1 p.m. we held a conference within the Trust & Society 2020 Program, a custom program for PwC. On this occasion we had José Ignacio Latorre, Professor of Physics and Director of the Center for Quantum Technologies, National University of Singapore. Participants in the Trust & Society Program are part of the PwC Talent Program.

 

Biography of the speaker

José Ignacio Latorre is professor of Theoretical Physics in the Department of Quantum Physics and Astrophysics of the University of Barcelona and Director of the Benasque Pedro Pascual Science Center. He is also Long-term Visitor at the Center for Quantum Technologies at the National University Singapore, Partner and Scientific Director at Entanglement Partners SL and PI of the Quantic Group at Barcelona Supercomputing Center Quantic. He is one of the most recognized experts in the field of quantum physics: he has made crucial contributions to quantum field theory and entanglement. His main lines of research revolve around these two topics, as well as quantum information and elementary particles. José Ignacio Latorre is the author of “Quantum. Your future at stake ”(Ariel) and“ Ethics for machines ”(Ariel).

 

Trust&Society Program

Trust & Society Program is a custom program carried out by Aspen Institute España for PwC and its objective is to provide a space for debate for the participants of the PwC Talent Program in which to reflect and debate on issues closely related to the purpose and objectives of PwC. This program allows participants to deepen their professional work and their personal commitment to building trust in society.
