What Aspen España is to me: Aspen España is the perfect organization to learn. The variety of ideas and points of views that are risen in every interaction (I am not only refering to the seminars or courses, but, simply, to the conversation that arise among Fellows or other Aspen España members) is astonishing. Aspen España has been fundamental to broaden my intelectual but also human horizons. Obviously, reflection on the great concerns of our time is central, but Aspen España's approach goes far beyond the mere analysis of today.

The Aspen Institute España experience is profoundly transformative. Aspen seminars offer a unique opportunity to step away from daily problems and tasks and immerse oneself in deep thought about ideas, both old and new, which allow a renewed perspective when returning to those same problems and tasks. It is a privilege, moreover, to be able to do so in the company of individuals from diverse backgrounds and ideas, and under the guidance of an organization committed to dialogue and diversity of opinions.

Coming into contact with Aspen España was an unexpected gift for me. Receiving an invitation to participate in one of their programs made me start to know them, and over the past two years, I have integrated Aspen as a fundamental factor of advice and guidance in business ethics, of contact with a community of exceptional people. I am very grateful and honored to be part of the Aspen Institute España Fellows Community.

Aspen España is for me an impulse to reconnect with my own curiosity when it is diluted between tasks and urgencies. In a world that requires us to give quick answers, and where dogmatism seems to be the only way to face the feeling of risk and navigate complexity, Aspen España offers forums where you can explore questions that do not have an easy solution and live (creatively) with uncertainty. For me, Aspen España meetings are always an opportunity to connect reflection with its ultimate and most important goal: an action that is meaningful and that aspires to generate some kind of good.

Aspen Institute España is a place where one develops greater confidence and desire to have a positive impact on society and thus contribute to the construction of the common good. Its activities, which allow listening, talking and learning about leadership based on values, offer the opportunity to develop and obtain the necessary tools to face, both professionally and personally, the challenges and tensions of an open society. Aspen España, where I have had the privilege of working, has offered me a unique opportunity to enrich myself intellectually, decipher the changes that occur in my environment and the world, and learn to raise better questions.

Aspen Institute España seeks to promote leadership and constructive dialogue on global challenges that concern us all. By awakening critical thinking, it connects us and sets us on the path to developing innovative and collaborative solutions. Aspen allows us to individually and collectively return to our roots in an environment of trust and shared values.

Taking part in Aspen activities is a privilege in these times of immediacy and metaverse. It is an immersive experience in the evaluation and construction of ideas. For me, Aspen is a space of 360º dialogue, where you can interact, reflect, and learn endlessly. It is a plural and deep exchange of views that allows, without noise, to understand, analyze and interpret where we are going. Thus, in this digital era, it is very important to be part of this constant exchange of questions to move forward and continue building.

Director of the Círculo de Bellas Artes de Madrid
We live in a world that is increasingly complex and fast-paced, but also increasingly atomized and individualistic in the social sphere, as well as fragmented in the academic and disciplinary spheres. Aspen España represents an excellent antidote to all these - in my opinion - very worrying trends. Indeed, it invites us to stop and reflect calmly and carefully, to collectively analyze the challenges of the present from a transversal and polyphonic approach, which gives crucial weight to the arts and the humanities. At the same time, it generates personal and professional links of enormous quality, which are rarely produced (and maintained) with this intensity.

For me, Aspen España is a place where I have learned to listen and to know the different perspectives and sides of different social phenomena. If in academia or politics, I learned arrogance, in Aspen, I learned humility and being aware that dogmatic visions are absolutely wrong and ineffective for solving the social challenges that we face. On the other hand, Aspen is for me a space of serenity and reflection with myself. The readings of the seminars challenge me and make me enter into dialogue with myself and my own positions. This, I believe, has helped me to be more reflective, in general terms, in my thinking. In short, humility, serenity, and reflection.
