Isabel joined Aspen Institute España in September 2013. She holds a Degree in Journalism from Universidad CEU San Pablo and an Executive Media MBA from Universidad de Navarra. She has worked for two years as a writer and editor for the gastronomical magazine Club de Gourmets, coordinating the Press Department of Grupo Gourmets (first publishing company in Spain specialized in gastronomy) and Salon de Gourmets (the major European international fine food and beverage fair), where she was also responsible for the website and the Social Networks of the group. Isabel has previously worked at Christie’s and LVMH Watches and Jewelry. She speaks Spanish, English and Portuguese.

Carlos Sallé

Carlos Sallé is an Industrial Engineer, electrical specialty, from the Higher Technical School of Industrial Engineers of the Polytechnic University of Madrid. Carlos is the Director of Energy Policies and Climate Change of the Iberdrola Group, reporting directly to the President. He was one of the founders, a decade ago, of the NGO Energía Sin Fronteras, specialized in electrification and water projects in low-income regions. He is a member of the Business Advisory Board of the Center for Public Private Partnerships (PPP) of UNECE (United Nations).
Breatriz Escriña

Beatriz is PhD in Political Science from the University of Barcelona and holds a degree in Journalism from the CEU San Pablo University. Passionate about new technologies and their impact on society, she has 15 years of experience in the field of communication. She has held various positions of responsibility in the United Nations, including, among others, in the Hybrid Operation of the African Union and the UN in Darfur (UNAMID), as well as in the Security Council Affairs Division of the Department of Political Affairs and the Department of Field Support in New York. Beatriz has also held communication functions at ESADE and other international organizations.
José Ignacio Latorre
Professor, Theoretical Physics at the University of Barcelona
He has got a PhD in Particle Physics from the University of Barcelona. He was a Fullbright Fellow at MIT (USA) and a postdoc at the Niels Bohr Institute in Copenhagen. He then became associate professor at the University of Barcelona and, later, full professor in Theoretical Physics. He has written over 100 papers on Particle Physics and Quantum Information and has directed 12 PhD thesis. He was a founder of the Centro de Ciencias de Benasque Pedro Pascual. He produced two documentaries, one of them on the last voice of the Manhattan Project. He works on Artificial Intelligence and was a founder of the NNPDF collaboration. He is a partner at Entanglement Partners. He is the author of “Cuántica. Tu futuro en juego” (Ariel) and “Ética para máquinas” (Ariel).

Eva Borreguero Sancho

She has been a Fulbright Scholar at the Center for Muslim and Christian Understanding at Georgetown University (2004-2006), researching on Islamic movements in South Asia. Professor of Political Science at the Complutense University of Madrid, where she teaches, among others, Theory and History of Power. She also teaches “Geopolitics in Asia-Pacific” at Universidad Carlos III de Madrid. She has been Director of Educational Programs at Casa Asia (2007-2011).
