He is a member of the “Cuerpo de Técnicos Comerciales y Economistas del Estado”. He graduated in Economics and Business Studies from Universidad Autónoma de Madrid and holds an Advanced Management Program degree by IESE. He is Director of Institutional Affairs in BBVA, coordinating the overseas institutional activity of the bank, its participation in several fora and International Financial Institutions, and particularly, BBVA’s relationship with the European Union. From 2000 to 2004 he was the Director of the Economics Department of the Prime Minister’s Office. Before this, he was Advisor to the Secretary of State for the European Communities (1991-92), Counselor at the Spanish Embassy Economic Office in Thailand (1992-97), and Advisor at the Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs.

Degree in Economics and Business Administration from the Universidad Autonoma de Barcelona. His professional beginnings are in the field of teaching as an Assistant Professor and Associate Professor at Universidad Pompeu Fabra. He also studied at the London School of Economics. In the private sector and the financial world, he worked as an economist in the analysis department of Banco Sabadell. He is currently the executive director and risk director of Banco Sabadell.

As Vice President, General Counsel (since 1994) and Secretary of the Foundation, Josh is responsible for the overall legal affairs of the Foundation worldwide and is a member of the Executive Leadership Team that advises the President of the Foundation on policy matters and strategic direction. He also coordinates the work of MacArthur Advisory Services, an initiative of the Foundation through which MacArthur staff with appropriate expertise advises other foundations, corporate donors, and individual donors on a range of issues and questions and help connect such donors to other external resources when appropriate. He is an officer and on the board of various affiliates of the Foundation.

He joined the European Council on Foreign Relations as a Senior Research Fellow and Head of the Madrid Office in September 2007. Previously he spent three years at Madrid's based Elcano Royal Institute for International Affairs as Senior Analyst for EU affairs. He has a doctorate in Political Science and Sociology from the Universidad Complutense de Madrid and teaches political science and EU affairs at the distance learning University in Madrid (UNED). He is also a fellow at the Juan March Institute of Studies in Madrid. He has been Fulbright scholar in the European Union-US Program, Lecturer at the George Washington University in Washington DC and a researcher at the European University Institute in Florence.

Collaborator with the Juan March Foundation in the current analysis space 'The throbbing question' and biographical 'Memories of the Foundation'. At RNE, he has performed editing tasks for the morning newscast 'Spain at 8', and has directed and presented the nightly newscast '24 hours'. He has been editor of the economic and national information areas. He has been deputy editor of the 3pm newscast on TVE.

She has a blog in the Spanish edition of the Huffington Post. She is a contributor to various media, such as El Periódico de Cataluña and OpenDemocracy, and has been a member of the HOY program, by Iñaki Gabilondo, on CNN +. He regularly participates as a panelist and speaker in meetings, seminars, and round tables on various international issues. She has also been deputy director-general of the Foundation for International Relations and Foreign Dialogue (FRIDE), an independent think tank based in Madrid. Graduated in Information Sciences (Journalism branch) from the Complutense University of Madrid, she carried out post-graduate studies at the University of Maryland (United States), thanks to the obtaining of a Fulbright Scholarship.

She is a journalist, writer and speaker focused on Media Literacy and Digital Citizenship. She works with families, schools, students, teachers, and both public & private institutions, developing digital education initiatives such as workshops, conferences and ongoing education projects. She is an editing collaborator for several websites, hosts the annual DigCitSummitES event, and runs iWomanish, a platform in which she shares practical resources and reliable information for parents and educators, being family & technology her primary advocating cause. Her goal and commitment is to promote a safe, creative, positive, and responsible use of technology.

She studied Law in the Universidad Católica Argentina, later she achieved a Master's Degree in Finance in ESEADE, Argentina. Helena worked in a corporate law firm, Negry Teijeiro Incera, later in a Merchant and Acquisition company, INFUPA, and for 10 years in a bank, Banco Privado de Inversiones SA. She is the mother of three children and has worked ad honorem for several nonprofit organizations, related to education and health issues. Helena is currently a member of G25, a nonprofit group focused on identifying, inviting, and tutoring capable and ethical persons from the private sector to engage and assume public responsibilities. Within G25, she created G25 Mujeres, especially focused on women.

She obtained her LL.B. at the Universidad de Valladolid and holds a Ph.D. in Law with special doctor europaeus mention and extraordinary honour recognition from the Universidad Autonoma de Madrid. She also has a Diploma of Specialization in Constitutional Law and Political Science (special prize) from the Center for Constitutional Studies in Madrid. She won the National Award “Nicolás Pérez Serrano” for her doctoral thesis. She has been a Visiting Researcher at the Max Planck Institute in Heidelberg and Global Research and Jean Monet Fellow at NYU Law School. Between 2008 and 2011, while on special leave from the University, she was Director-General for Legal Coordination of Spain’s Ministry of the Presidency.

Manuel is a strategy consultant with international experience in public services and sustainability, he has led high social impact projects across different public and non for profit spaces in education, social security, employment services, entrepreneurship and sustainability. Manuel holds a degree in Economics from Madrid University and a PDD in management from IESE Business School.

He joined J&A Garrigues in 2000 and has worked in its Madrid office since its incorporation, except for the period 2002-2003, when he worked at Hunton & Williams in Washington DC, the USA, and the periods 2007-2008 and 2010-2011, in which he was in New York at NYU (visiting doctoral researcher) and transferred to the Garrigues offices in Sao Paulo, respectively. He develops his work in the Department of Commercial and Financial Law, specializing in the areas of banking, structured finance, mergers, and acquisitions, nationally and internationally. Gaspar is a member of the Madrid Bar Association and the Sao Paulo Bar Association as a consultant in foreign law.

Previously he was the Director of Programs and Development at Aspen Institute España. David is the editor of Americracia, a blog on US politics for Spanish newspaper El Mundo. He was HarvardX Teaching Fellow for Michael Sandel's Course “Justice”. He holds a BA and an MA in Philosophy from Complutense University, an MA/M.Phil. in Political Science from the École des Hautes Études en Sciences Sociales in Paris, and -thanks to the support of a Scholarship from La Caixa- a master's degree (MALD) from The Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy. Prior to Fletcher, David was a Visiting Fellow in the Department of Government at Harvard University (2011-2012). Prior to joining Aspen Institute España David worked as an advisor for Security Council issues at the Spanish Mission to the UN (New York).
